Eastway Drive is a mecca of diverse activity, however some sprucing up could occur. The intersection of Kilbourn and Eastway, where the Timbers Apartments are and where the "hodgepodge" of small buildings, a cleaner, convenience store, nightclub - bar, a church and a laundry are all located. This area needs some attention. Other parts of Eastway that need a little tender loving care are not so bad. The area towards Central before getting to the intersection of Central and Eastway where the Bingo strip is, this needs to be addressed. All in all...Eastway is not so bad. Now if the city lets WalMart relocate to Independence, well then here we go again, another "big box" store area sitting empty and there goes Eastway Crossing. WalMart could just stay and expand.
